Use & Care

After brushing, rinse the bristles to remove toothpaste reside or food debris and set the toothbrush out to dry. Avoid leaving the wooden handle sitting in water for the longest life. Replace every 3 months or when the bristles start to fray, like any toothbrush.

Materials

Bamboo and 100% castor oil bristles.

End of Life

Cardboard box may be home composted, commercially composted, or recycled.

Remove the bristles from the handle with pliers (or snap off the toothbrush head to separate it from the main handle). Compost the handle commercially or at home. The bristles may be collected and returned to The Good Fill for recycling through Terracycle. While the bristles are made from 100% bio-based materials, bristles made from castor bean oil may not readily break down in a compost environment due to how they are processed.

Soft!

I’ve gone through lots of different bamboo toothbrushes, and this has been the best. No loose bristles. It’s crafted well.

Soft and easy to compost

The bristles are nice and soft and the handle is easy to hold. Its a simple toothbrush but it does its job. I just break off the head and compost the handle.

Simplest swap for zero waste (and it works)

I tried out several different toothbrushes to find a good zero waste option. This one is my favorite because it requires no special work to compost and the brush itself feels very comfortable to hold and the bristles are super gentle for sensitive teeth. I've used these for about a year and got dentist approval that this brush is working to clean my teeth well.
