WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS ZERO WASTE?
From the production phase through the check-out process, we maintain a strong awareness of our environmental footprint. We start by purchasing from suppliers who emphasize sustainable practices and fair labor conditions. Although not every supplier completely aligns with our sustainability ethos, we continuously seek alternative options and engage with our existing partners to improve their practices.
As a brand advocating for consumer reuse through refills, we also produce all our in-house products using a closed-loop approach. This means refilling, reusing, or repurposing both mixing materials and containers, like our 30-55 gallon drums. Our primary focus is on reuse rather than resource intensive recycling. We also prioritize sustainably sourced, biodegradable ingredients and organic wherever possible.
Our liquid refill products are mailed in BPA-free, plastic pouches. Not only are they 93% less plastic than a plastic bottle but you will also receive an envelope that includes pre-paid postage so you can mail us your empty pouches back for us reuse or recycle through TerraCycle.
Our dry refill products are mailed in recyclable paper bags made from 100% recycled paper.
HOW DO YOU SHIP WITH NO WASTE?
We only use up-cycled, recycled, recyclable and compostable materials. Everything ships 100% plastic-free. From time to time you may receive up-cycled, compostable, water-soluble packing peanuts that look like styrofoam. These are made of plant starch and can easily be dissolved by water and rinsed down the drain.

We also choose to ship the majority of our packages through USPS since they already come to your residence on a daily basis. This cuts down gas and extra trips from other shipping carriers.
WHY IS FREE SHIPPING ONLY FOR ORDERS OVER $75 NOW?
Amazon has truly spoiled us all with free shipping. What used to be an occasional incentive is now expected by most shoppers. Unfortunately though, shipping is never free for small businesses and on the contrary, is much more expensive for us than it is for mega-retailers. We've sadly had to raise our free shipping threshold. So, at checkout, you'll see the exact rate it costs to ship for all orders under $75. We chose this number for the following reasons:
• To encourage you to purchase more in one visit rather than shipping multiple orders throughout a shorter period of time. This ultimately saves on shipping costs as well as cuts down carbon emissions.
• As much as we appreciate business from all over the US, our focus is local business for many reasons. We want to offer low markup costs to our local customers so that living with less waste and buying sustainably is affordable. Often times, there is a shop similar to us that is closer to you and with a little searching you are likely to find something that will offer you less shipping miles.
• We ship Priority 2-3 day so your package arrives as soon as possible. This rarely is lower than $8 and for customers in California can sometimes go over $20!
• In order to repurpose shipping materials we acquire from our makers and vendors, we spend a lot of time breaking down boxes, organizing recycling and compost and finding up-cycled paper so that we can continue to find as many ways possible to keep our processes zero waste.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
2-7 Business days but typically it takes no more than 3-5.
WHY DO SOME OF YOUR PRODUCTS HAVE PACKAGING?
Even though we pride ourselves on working with companies that are low-waste we cannot control some of the packaging that comes with our orders. There are many things we do to cut down waste which also include taking care of recycling, composting or up-cycling any materials we receive that are not necessary to send alongside your order. We are happy to say that we are a 99% zero waste shop.
If you look closely throughout our product descriptions, you will also see advice written from us personally on how to properly recycle or compost a product once it has reached the end of its life.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Sorry, we only ship in the U.S. at this time. In order to cut down on gas and extra trips from other shipping carriers, we mostly ship USPS since they come to your residence on a daily basis.
