Dish Detergent Powder & Refills
Why We Love It: Nellie’s Dish Powder easily penetrates grease, food particles, and more, leaving every plate spotless. Plus, this biodegradable, septic-safe, and phosphate-free formula is plant-based and kind to the environment. Traditional liquid detergents are made of at least 50 percent water. Nellie's does not think selling you water and moving water around the planet is a very good idea. More cleaning power can be packed into a smaller space with a powder formula and this one packs a punch - you only need 1 tbsp per load in your dishwasher.
In-Store Refill Price: 52¢ per oz.
Add 1 tbsp detergent into the designated space in your dishwasher. If machine has no detergent dispenser, place 1 tbsp in bottom of dishwasher. More powder may be required in hard water areas; soft water may require less.
Rinse heavy food residue from cutlery and dishes. Do not overload the dishwasher. Do not overuse dishwashing detergent. If a film remains following the cycle, place a cup of distilled white vinegar (with 5% or less acidity) in a bowl on the bottom rack of the dishwasher during the rinse cycle.
Sodium Chloride, Sodium Carbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Percarbonate, Sodium Metasilicate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Silicate, Protease.
Refills come in a compostable/recyclable paper bag. *Please note that this bag is meant solely for transport purposes and is not meant to hold product for an extended period of time.
Refillable glass jar may be recycled with glass recycling. Metal lid should be recycled with aluminum recycling.
Jars in shipped orders come wrapped in 100% recycled newsprint paper made entirely from post-consumer and/or post-industrial content. Paper can be recycled or composted (at home or industrially).

Switched from brand name pods to powder refills from the Good Fill. The powder is just as effective, significantly less wasteful, and I feel way more comfortable with the ingredients. Would 100% recommend!
This gets my dishes super clean and doesn’t leave any streaks, it’s exactly what I’ve been searching for!
Switched from dish detergent pods to this powder and I have loved it! Super convenient and I honestly feel like my dishes are cleaner because of it.
No less powerful than brands I’ve used in the past. You really don’t have to compromise to be zero waste
I love this stuff - I'm on my third or fourth refill now. The 4 cup size lasts my boyfriend and I over two months, and it gets our dishes just as clean as any conventional liquid detergent. Not only do I feel so much better about not throwing away those giant plastic jugs, a 4 cup mason jar is also much easier to store.
