Essential Mascara

Why We Love It: A truly universal mascara that adds length and volume for every beauty style. Made with organic white tea, it’s packed with antioxidants for healthier, stronger lashes. One light coat is great for a natural eye-opening look or go bold with multiple layers--this mascara transitions effortlessly. The lash-hugging wand glides seamlessly to avoid clumping, and the water- and sweat-resistant formula keeps mascara from running throughout the day. Not only is Elate's Essential Mascara cruelty-free and vegan, but all palm-based ingredients are sourced from RSPO-certified suppliers (read more about the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil here).

Favorite Eco-Conscious Mascara

Many of the eco-conscious mascaras I have found are notorious for flaking. I don’t have that problem with this one (no raccoon eyes either), and I’m so glad to have found it! The product does still dry out in the tube a bit more quickly than some of the more commercially known products, but honestly, that is something that needs to happen to make me get a new tube when it’s recommended (which I believe is every 3 months). I think it’s fantastic they’ve limited their material usage even more by eliminating the bamboo that used to cover the glass portion on the bottom. I’ve been using Elate mascara for over 2 years now, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. If I had a complaint, it would be that I have trouble finding the brown version—it always seems to be sold out!

Best Sustainable Mascara Ever!

This mascara is the only sustainable/ natural mascara I have tried that I actually like. It goes on just like store-bought mascara, and lasts just as long too. Although it is only water resistant and not water-proof, I have never had an issue with it running or ending up with raccoon eyes. Definitely worth the price
